Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Polynesian American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 13 March 1993. Makai talks about growing up in Tonga, his conversion to the Mormon Church, his family, and expresses his feelings about many of the activities and policies of the Mormon Church. He also comments on his life in the United States.
